True Believers of Jesus Christ, Do you celebrate your birthday?

Have you ever wandered if it was PAGAN? I have and now I don't celebrate mine anymore even though it was a week ago, i just came up on some information today. No, looking at history and even today most people only celebrate there birthday to glorify/celebrate themselves. The only thing worthy of celebration is Jesus. Oh yeah His birthday was not on Decemebr 25th thats just a day Romans selected. There is no real record of the exact date he was born on. Plus He said remember him through Passover not his birthday or Easter. Easter is not Passover 2 different days and I'm not a Jehovah Witness I've just read the Bible.True Believers of Jesus Christ, Do you celebrate your birthday?
I suggest you stop talking English. It is a germanic language - and they were pagan.

the only part i dont get is why god didnt just go poof your all forgiven and why this death was required at that time when he would have died eventually anyways.perhaps it had to be expireanced first hand.

I stopped celebrating my birthday when I realized it was making me a year older every time I did it!





I should have followed my grandmother's example. She didn't celebrate hers, and she's been 32 years old since at least 1962!

Absolutely I celebrate my birthday. It's not some religious ritual. It's simply celebrating the day I was born. Even if it were once a religious ritual. That is not the reason in which I celebrate it.... hope that helped answer your question...

That's a church website. Expressing THEIR views on the subject. It may or may not be the truth, but you should always check around before claiming something as Gospel.

Then why do you guys celebrate Jesus's birthday? Isn't that kind of hypocritical? Or do you just not like your own birthday?
I am a true believer of Jesus and I celebrate my birthday. I think it is a time to be with friends and family and join with people who you have not seen in a while.
I don't really believe celebrating your birthday is all that bad. I did read the website, but I found that those things are mistakes they made. Real Christians don't do those things, no matter what goes one. So I wouldn't really worry about it.

Dude... who cares who started it? Don't you and your family want to celebrate the fact that you're ALIVE? You don't have to have a ';Super Sweet 16'; party or anything... but you don't have to pretend you were never born... seems to me that people take things too far anymore...

yes but i dont worship my birhtday. no one knows when jesus was born it was problably in spt or aug becasue of the sheppards, as long as you dont worship the feast or the celebration you can celebrate your birthday

Celebrating someone's birthday is not pagan. No one is worshiping the person on their birthday. It's just a way of acknowledging that the person is growing up, if they are a child, and maybe a year wiser, if they are an adult.





The JWs don't celebrate birthdays, but that is the least of their loopy ways. I don't celebrate my birthday because of personal reasons.

what would we do on this day(birthday)? would we still get off on presidents day,or Martin Luther king day, or even Christmas day cause that's when we celebrate our LORDS DAY. I also want to know if your running for any office..so i don't vote for you.HAVE A NICE DAY ANYWAY
