Is it true Mormons believe Jesus had three wives?

and also is it true that Joseph Smith claims to be a descendant of Jesus?Is it true Mormons believe Jesus had three wives?
It is idle speculation. If an apostle commented, it was his personal opinion.





There was group called the Cathars who believed that Jesus was married and had a family. This group was destroyed by the intolerant who could not endure this possibility. Interestingly contrary to the Da Vinci Code, there are millions that can claim descent from the line they trace to this child.Is it true Mormons believe Jesus had three wives?
I'm not aware that the Church has specific doctrine about Jesus being married or not, or that Joseph Smith claimed to be his descendant.





My thought is that in the Jewish traditions, to be a rabbi then, you had to be married. With all the accusations the Pharisees and others brought forth, never once was Jesus accused of not obeying the first commandment of multiply and replenish the earth. That would have been a strong argument in favor of the accusors. There are other indications like, Mary was the first to see Jesus resurrected, the way Jesus acted in the house of Mary and Martha, and how it was the recent groom's responsibility to provide wine at weddings (his first miracle). I believe that he was married, and I don't see anything wrong with it.

Some women were watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.
In my own opinion, obviosuly not doctrine, I believe Jesus either was married or at some point will be, to how many women I have no idea.


I believe that Jesus Christ came to fulfill ALL law and that since celestial marriage is a law of God, He must at some point fulfill that law if He has not already.


I don't believe either that he ever had any children. I would highly doubt that...just knowing how Christ was treated, think of how His children may have been treated....


My mother-in-law has her own theory that the wedding Jesus attended where he turned the water into wine was actually his own wedding...but that is also her own opinion.


Just because the Bible doesn't show specifically Christ was married doesn't mean that he wasn't.


I have heard people say Joseph claimed to be a descendant of Jesus'...just another myth. We are all His brothers and sisters, in a certain aspect...
Well, let see. Was Jesus ever married?

Not only is Orson Hyde saying that Jesus was married, he is implying that Jesus had three wives!





Note: According to Mormons, God the Father also has multiple wives, and thus is engaged in polygamy.





In Mormon doctrine Jesus had to have been married, because ';no one can attain exaltation to the fullness of the blessings of the celestial kingdom outside the marriage relationship.'; **





Joseph Fielding Smith wrote:





';The gift promised to those who receive this covenant of marriage and remain faithful to the end, that they shall 'have no end', means that they shall have the power of eternal increase. Only those who have this power will truly 'know the only wise and true God, Jesus Christ, whom he hath sent.' Others may see the Lord and may be instructed by him but they will not truly know him or his Father unless they become like them.'; ***





The above is talking about how you must be married, like God the Father and God the Son (Jesus Christ) are married. Only in that way can you make it to the celestial kingdom, become a god yourself, and have spirit children who will populate the world over which you are god.





The problem is that There is nothing in the Bible that indicates in any way, shape or form that Jesus was married.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints aka Mormon Church doesn't teach these things.





It's easy to find web references to a couple of Church leaders making statements related to the claim about Joseph Smith Jr., but I have no idea whether the references are accurate, and to my knowledge no such claim has ever been considered Church doctrine.





In LDS doctrine, Eternal Marriage is crucial to achieve all the blessings our Heavenly Father wants for us. This applies to Jesus as well. Those who don't achieve this blessing on earth will get the opportunity later. That's one of the reasons for Temples.

Mormons teach the plurality of worlds, and wives, God has wives ,the holy spirit has wives , so why wouldn't jesus.Play your spiritual carrds right and you will too.

I am born Jewish and finally believed Revelation 3:19%26amp;20 where Jesus says he loves us and asks us to repent and let him into our heart to be our savior and best friend.





the Mormons are 98% the same but the difference is true salvation, Jesus said in the last chapter of the bible if you add to my words you will have plagues, and closed the bible forever. In the added book the mormons say against the bible that Jesus was created and also the brother of lucifer/satan. They teach salvation by a warm feeling to join their church. Jesus says satan can come as a creature of light.





I would truely come to know Jesus personally and then check out the differences between what Jesus teaches in the joy of salvation, and what they teach, and I have been to mormon church and was kicked out for telling how I let Jesus into my heart, at their Sunday School when they asked for testimonies on faith-to the others it was faith to get a car or other things-i told of faith Romans 10:17 that comes from hearing the word of God and Salvation with Jesus as my best friend.
