Why do so many Christians ignore the true message of Jesus Christ?

In the Bible, Jesus taught us to be generous, to love our neighbor, not to judge, the golden rule, and others. This is the true meaning of Christianity, and it's one I think we can all ascribe to. If you want to add ';love God'; in there, be my guest. I just don't because I don't believe in omnipotence.





So why do so many Christians ignore those teachings and loudly judge others and use the Bible as an excuse to hate?Why do so many Christians ignore the true message of Jesus Christ?
Just because a person labels them self a Christian doesn't make them one. The people who are judgmental and use the Bible for there excuse to hate are not Christians. They may attend church, they may read the Bible and believe in Jesus. But they aren't Christians. To be a Christian you must live Christ-like. Remember W.W.J.D ?





There are people who use the Bible and God for their own agenda, and they nick pick what they want to believe and they distort the bible to say what they want it to say. These aren't christians. These are lost people. Some of them need our help to find God again. Some of them don't want it. They can't accept the fact they are wrong. They are the ones that have to answer to God in the end.Why do so many Christians ignore the true message of Jesus Christ?
Idk but not all christians are the same. Just b/c youre a christian doesnt mean theyre automatically change to what the bible saids, its really a choice. Either they decide to do what the bible teaches or they continue to live the life that they want! But its not right b/c only God can judge! Idk the Christians you know but I'm certainly not like that.
Wait? I can't believe what you just said? You're calling ';Christians'; hypocrites?





Also, if you knew your Bible thouroughly, you would also know that God said not to judge others outside of our church/congregation. He then tells us that we are to tell our fellow brothers in Christ about their sins in the true spirit of love. This does not include the secular world which you are referring to. God will deal with those.
The true message of Jesus is JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED (1 Corinthians 2:2).

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell, is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you will be in heaven, no matter what!
Here is the thing....When we grow in the word, we gain understanding and wisdom and with these two, we become more fruitful in spirit. One just do not wake up being CHRIST-LIKE...It takes time and as you walk in GOD'S word daily, you eventually become more CHRIST-LIKE, which teaches you to be generous, loving, kind, humility, compassion, all of these things that comprises having ';GOOD FRUIT of the SPIRIT';..... God said, ';YOU WILL RECOGNIZE MY PEOPLE BY THEIR FRUIT.';...This is what he meant.....Just basically being LOVING, which is what is needed to gain access into GOD'S KINGDOM.......
There's a lot of hate in the bible.
Because even Christians are human beings.





Incidentally, a lot of people confuse judging actions with judging persons. There is a BIG difference there.
many Christians, not all Christians. You said it yourself.
Because they are indoctrinated to the authority of Church, not the Founder.
The LDS humanitarian service is to all people. They go into high gear wherever there is a catastrophe

think about it.if there really was a';God'; then everyone would have the same religion.
They're among the many who are moving back to the Old Testament.
