Is it true Christians that Jesus did not defeat sin, but only died for us?

then shows he is a God with great power and can rise from the dead. This is not defeating sin, this is excepting sin... Like God is saying alright my children I will die because you do not want to be like me......seek God for his power to be perfect, not from birth but from the day he gives you the wisdom and power to be perfect. Maybe the great seeker will be the first human to be like the Lord our God?

and no fools I do not say I will be a God, just like him in rightousness. I always find that funny when people say God is a God because he is just rightous. Is it true Christians that Jesus did not defeat sin, but only died for us?
Well, John the Baptist said, ';Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.'; That sounds like Jesus defeated sin.

In Romans 6:23, it is stated: '; For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

That says to me that sin brings death. Jesus died. If He had remained dead, your premise would be true. But He did not. He arose! Death could not hold Him!!

And in 1 Corinthians 15: 56-57, scripture says: ';The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.'; That sounds like Jesus defeated sin and its ultimate consequence. How else could we have victory?

Jesus says in Revelation 1:18: ';I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death. That sounds like He's got the upperhand, doesn't it? If He had not defeated sin, He wouldn't be alive, and He certainly wouldn't have the keys of hell and death. If sin brings death, and you die and arise, sin doesn't hold you.

Read your Bible. Is it true Christians that Jesus did not defeat sin, but only died for us?
It's all in the individuals understanding.
When Jesus Christ , the perfect God-man, shed His blood on the cross, He was surrendering His pure and spotless life to death as an eternal sacrifice for man's sin. Once for all God made complete and perfect provision for the cure for man's sins; without the blood of Christ, it is indeed a fatal disease.
No it is not true. Jesus defeated sin by never sinning and accepting the sin burden and punishment for all man kind. To be without sin and pay the penalty , Jesus can lift the burden of sin from your life and give you a new hope and life in Christ. The restraints of death by spiritual and the physical could not hold Jesus. Therefore Jesus defeated death and sin by way of the cross. There was 500 eye witness to Jesus being alive with the scars of the crucifixion. He was in white clothing not spot ed with any blood and the wounds were clean and present for all to see. he was not in pain or suffering the after affects of the punishment He received.
Jesus died to remove our sin...

Romans 6, John (I need to do more study to find the scriptures)

Jesus did die for our sins.... so we could be free from them and more like him....
No it's not true. He died for our sins and took away our sins. He defeated sin by not sinning. None is perfect but God.
